If you’ve ever met me in person/follow my IG stories, you know that A. I’m obsessed with my *flawless* dog and B. I have a serious matcha addiction.
After always getting asked how to make it + perfecting my favorite recipe over the years, I’m excited to tell you exactly how I do it + how Heavenly Organics Honey has taken it to the NEXT LEVEL.
Okay, so let’s get into it.
I usually drink my matcha lattes cold because TEXAS. But, this recipe works for hot lattes too.
YOU WILL NEED:
CULINARY GRADE MATCHA POWDER (you can find this at health stores like Sprouts, Whole Foods & The Vitamin Shoppe)
ORGANIC RAW HONEY (my favorite is Heavenly Organics)
- Get a good scoop of matcha powder (around 1-2 tablespoons) and put it in your blender. Add about a tablespoon or 2 of your favorite honey and MIX.
- It’ll turn into a thick paste. Add a splash of HOT water (+ vanilla if you feel like it) and MIX. It should reach a semi-thick consistency.
- Add a generous helping of almond creamer *this is the stuff that makes at home lattes taste AMAZING, trust me* and top off the rest of the latte with regular almond milk (preferably unsweetened). You’ll add about 2 cups of liquid in total to the matcha paste.
- BLEND, BLEND + BLEND some more. Once it’s that perfect matcha color, let it sit for a few minutes (to soak up the flavors), serve it over ice, kick back and sip away whilst you ignore all of your work emails.
