Not Leather Weather

This post was sponsored by Banana Republic. All opinions expressed are my own.

So, it’s only been a few days since my last post, but I’m already feeling like I’ve been transported to a different planet (more on that later).

It’s no secret that I love a good off-the-shoulder top. I instantly fell in love with this little number from Banana Republic. I don’t know about you, but nothing screams spring more than bare shoulders and open-toe platforms. As soon as I get on that pedicure train, I will definitely wear these without the socks. Also, I guess I was trying to convince myself that we’re still somehow having winter, but that’s not really the case (hello, 86 deg days).

I’ve linked these Banana pieces below for your viewing pleasure in case you’re looking to spring forward a little early.

~Now on to that other stuff~

I’m so happy to say (and if you follow me on Instagram/Snapchat you probably already know this, so excuse me if I sound like a broken record), but it’s official–I’m moving to the Rio Grande Valley in a few weeks. I am so desperately going to miss my friends, my yoga studio, my pilates instructor, and my favorite brunch hangs. This is really a bittersweet moment for me, but it’s something both my fiance (Wayo)and I have been wanting/working towards for nearly 1 year. Long distance relationships are TOUGH. No matter if it’s 2.5 hours in a car or a 7 hour plane ride, distance hurts. It makes you feel isolated, helpless, etc. I’m glad that Wayo and I made it through our 9 months of distance well. Of course, it wasn’t rainbows and butterflies the whole time–it takes a lot of sacrifice (AKA spending 2 hours on FaceTime on a Friday night instead of going to drink sangria with your friends & watching Netflix shows in sync with your significant other even though you really want to skip ahead). But in the end for us, we still share our hopes/goals and made it out the other end a little stronger.

I’m excited to get back to work as well! More on that later (cough cough you’re reading the blog of a new minted social media coordinator).
